How to Create a Channel on KNKY 🌀

Written by Rebecca Mitchell

Every creator on KNKY has one channel — your dedicated subscription space where fans access your exclusive content. Here's how to set it up.

Option 1: The Fastest Way 💨

  1. Tap the + button in the bottom menu of your account screen.

  2. In the pop-up menu, select “Channel.”

Option 2: From Your Profile Page 👤

  1. Select “See My Profile.”

  2. Scroll down and tap “Subscriptions.”

  3. From there, you can create and manage your channel.

Channel Setup: Step by Step 🛠️

Once you hit "Create Channel", you’ll land in the setup screen. Here's what you need to fill out:

1. Channel Name. Pick a clear, catchy name that reflects the type of content you'll be sharing. This name will be visible to fans.

2. Channel Username Choose a unique username — this will be part of your channel URL. Make it memorable and related to your theme.

3. Channel Description Write something detailed and exciting that helps fans understand what they're subscribing to. 📝 Tip: Think of it as a mini pitch. Why should they subscribe?

4. Hashtags Add up to 5 relevant hashtags to help fans find your content in search.

📌 Stick to the most relevant ones — quality over quantity.

5. Channel Visibility Control whether your channel is publicly visible or accessible only via direct link:

  • Visibility ON — the channel appears on your profile and in the feed

  • Visibility OFF — hidden, accessible only via direct link

Set Your Subscription Price 💸

You can make your channel either free or paid:

  • Free channel: No price setup needed. Fans can join instantly.

  • Paid channel: Set your monthly price. You can also add longer-term options:

    • 1 month

    • 3 months

    • 6 months

    • 12 months

    • Lifetime

💡 Longer plans often encourage fans to stick around - consider adding a small discount!

Subscription Plan Price Setup 💳

When you open any subscription duration (1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 12 months, or Lifetime), you can fully customize the plan using the price setup window.

1. Base Price

You first set the total price paid upfront for the plan.

2. Discounts

You can apply a discount in two ways:

  • Percentage (%)

  • Fixed amount ($)

You can also choose:

  • Whether the discount is permanent

  • Or valid only for a specific date range

There is also an option to:

  • ✅ Apply the discount to all future rebills

3. Plan Name

You can assign a custom name to each plan.
This name is visible to fans and helps highlight special offers like:

  • “VIP Monthly Access”

  • “Limited Time Deal - 6 Months of Access”

4. Subscriber Limitation

You can limit how many fans can subscribe to this specific plan by setting a subscriber cap.
Once the limit is reached, the plan automatically becomes unavailable.

5. Free Trial

You can enable a free trial for any plan.
Fans get temporary access and are charged automatically when the trial ends.

6. Custom Welcome Message

Each plan can have its own custom welcome message that overrides the default auto-message.
You can also attach media files to it.

7. Save the Plan

Once everything is configured:
Tap “Submit price” to save the plan.

Included Services & Perks 🎁

Now it’s time to decide what extras your fans will get when they subscribe:

✅ Default Channel Benefits

By default, these are included:

  • View Channel Feed

  • View Stories

  • Chat with Me

You can remove or customize the Chat benefit.

✅ Services

You can add:

  • Featured services

  • Custom services you’ve created

Any service added here is automatically included in the subscription. Fans don’t need to buy it separately.

✅ Custom Benefits

You can also add custom benefit labels to describe extra value, for example:

  • “Exclusive content”

  • “Behind-the-scenes”

  • “VIP chat access”

These are descriptive only and help visually communicate value to fans.

✅ Short Perks Description

You can add a short text summary explaining what’s included in the subscription.
This appears alongside your benefits and helps increase conversions.

Final Step: Add Channel Avatar & Highlights 🖼️

Once you’ve set up your channel details, click "Create channel" and you’ll be redirected to a Channel page where you can manage your channel, channel's avatar, and highlight images.

  • The avatar is the main image that will represent your channel to fans

  • The highlights adds personality and helps visually set the vibe

Choose visuals that match your content style — first impressions matter!

When you're done, your channel is live and ready to welcome fans! 🎉
